Our Melbourne stylists were inspired by the current trend of fairy tale revival, blending Tim Burton moodiness with pretty, delicate detail to create this look that was part spooky, part romance.

An event inspired by The Great Gatsby, the Encore team recreated the grandeur of the mansion that played host to many lavish parties in the Four Seasons for the annual Humpty Dumpty Gala Dinner. The tables were dressed in sleek black satin and featured elaborate white orchid floral and crystal candelabras. The focal point of the room was the deco inspired geometric stage set with detailed lattice framework which was designed in house and custom built.

Pacha’s world-renowned dance party event has made it’s Sydney home at ivy. Recently we helped set the Pacha tone for the night by working with the team to suspend a aerial artist from the ceiling and projected stunning graphics onto her custom-built 5-meter long gown. We also wowed audiences with the latest projection mapping that saw psychedelic patterns and imagery in Pacha’s 60s’ love theme projected across the ballroom.

The Exxon Mobil Social Club Ball was held at Grand Hyatt Melbourne in August. Encore (formerly Staging Connections) managed the entire event including all styling, entertainment and technical production. The theme was vintage circus and everything from the stage set (complete with Lion and Elephant cut outs) to the roof draped with fabric to look like the inside of a circus tent came together to set the scene for the ball.

This event was created by our talented Melbourne event production team and was held by Crown Melbourne to celebrate the last night of an Australia wide Mega Famil. The event design was inspired by the street art and laneways of Melbourne and the room featured a 33 metre long table under a suspended ceiling installation created from milk crates and neon acrylic strips. The look was completed with limited edition spray paint can centrepieces and intelligent lighting, audio and vision.

Early this year, our South Australian team were tasked with creating a magical, ‘Hogwarts’ inspired event. To truly immerse the 240 guests into the Hogwarts theme, our team pulled out all stops – from the location, to the lighting and styling and down to delicious catering by local, Ellie Beer Catering – everything oozed magic and made you feel as if you were really at Hogwarts.

Encore were asked to create a spectacular Welcome Dinner for the annual Joymain incentive trip with Sydney as the destination for 2015. The Royal Hall of Industries was the perfect venue to cater for the 1600 mainland Chinese including 100 of the company’s VIPs. Over the course of the day, we arranged a host of entertainment and performances that brought to life the true blue Australian culture to make this year’s incentive bigger and better than ever. From jumping kangaroos, boot-scooting cowboys, to Priscilla Queen of the Desert Drag Queens and Harley Davidson’s all set against a projected Sydney Harbour backdrop, the event was a pleasure to deliver, showcasing our expertise in delivering truly integrated events.

The Queensland Hotels Association (QHA) Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner & Presentation – now in its 23rd year – was held at the Great Hall at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 23 September. 1,000 guests flocked to this annual awards event which recognises the state’s best pubs, hotels and hoteliers. Hotels large and small from all over Queensland participated in the 2015 awards program, which this year saw a record number of nominations. The brief was to deliver a spectacular awards night with the main focus on creating a stunning stage environment and engaging multimedia content. The challenge was striking the right balance between being respectful of the 100 year ANZAC tribute and festivities celebrating award winners. The hero of the room was the massive 27x4m curved screen provided by BCEC. Our crystal chandelier complemented the ‘big look’ and added glamour and a celebratory ambience for award recipients and their colleagues. The highlight of the evening was the opening showreel we created as a homage to the ANZACs.

A spectacular stage design created for a spectacular event – the 2015 Grand Final Eve Luncheon. AFL players, media personalities and industry celebrities came together to celebrate one of the biggest events in the AFL Grand Final Week. If it was a game of numbers we definitely won – 6 x 16ft screens with 10k lumen projectors and 2 x 30ft screens with 18k lumen projectors. All managed and operated flawlessly by our in-house team of AV technicians at Crown Melbourne.
